Setsuna sat quietly at her counter, letting out a quiet yawn as she fought off boredness. Currently, there were only a couple customers in her cafe, which was a far cry from how busy it usually got. It was a bit of a mixed blessing, though. Slow days like this weren't uncommon, and, personally, she welcomed the chance to just sit and relax for a bit. However, not having anything to do made her a bit restless, and it was moments like this when her boredom got the better of her. Glancing around, she decided to get up and walk around, checking on the customers while she was at it. It always did Setsuna good to see others enjoying the food and drink she prepared.
Truth be told, there were times where she wondered if maybe she should have gone off to Domino College like most of the Duel Academy graduates did. There were a lot of people who looked at her strange when she decided to open up her cafe, but the honest truth was that, as much as she loved the card game, she just couldn't see herself making a career out of it. While she wasn't terrible at the game, as evidenced by the fact that she made it to Ra Yellow, she didn't exactly stand out either. But, that was why she had set up dueling tables in her cafe in the first place. She still loved Duel Monsters, and this way, she could to two things she loved. All in all, she was quite happy with how things had turned out.

"And blessed are those working retail, especially food service. For they are underpaid and overworked, have to deal with rude customers day in and day out, with a smile on their face the whole time. There's a special layer of hell devoted to those who make their lives pain; and if I see you doing it you won't sit down for a month." -- Elizabeth Morrison, on deserving respect.
Winter sucked, Amy thought to herself as she stepped inside from the elements. Sure, she was used to the blustery winds and the ever-present chill that ran down one's spine when old Jack Frost decided to pop in from up North. The gelid shackles of freezing rain and grey snowclouds that seemed to arrest time and motion entirely, robbing a once lively city of its heartbeat. She'd lived with it most of her life and accepted that no matter where she'd go or what she'd do, snow and ice during the back end of the calendar was a thing Amy Morrison would be forced to accept.
Didn't change the underlying fact: Winter sucked.
*ting-ling~*
It was something of a relief that the place was as well heated as it was - allowing Amy to take off her rather thick winter overcoat as she looked over the menu board. She wasn't in any hurry, and the place didn't seem to be that crowded (most people who would be here likely stayed bundled up at home - smart people, them) so Amy took a moment to reflect a little on things. The people working today probably would rather be home next to a warm fire, but here they are, ready as ever to serve whoever walked through the doors. It took a certain level of dedication for that, Amy supposed, though the dedication could easily be towards the paycheck rather than the service. It was dedication none the less.
"Seems like a slow day, huh?"
