Mizuki is a quiet and reserved individual whose cherishes the personal security of herself and those around her. Mizuki has a strong sense of duty, which gives her motivation for completing her day to day tasks. She's organized and methodical, which gives her the illusion of intelligence; Mizuki just tries very hard to keep her marks up and her goals within reach.History:
Mizuki is a good and honest person. She has built a reputation around being dependable and loyal to those who have earned her trust. She takes things very seriously, yet she tries to keep something resembling a quiet sense of humour, which shines when she's around family and friends.
She sticks to the rules, and is very firmly set in traditions. She almost insists upon doing things by the book, and feels very uncomfortable when she has to step out of that comfort zone, often complaining and nagging until they get back into the rules that have been set down.
She's uncomfortable with displays of affection and will often do subtle signs of affection rather than blatant ones. She has a hard time grasping the emotional needs of others, often saying inconsiderate things to those who are sensitive, especially if what she says is only 'stating the truth'. Her logic often gets in the way of her emotional interactions.
All in all, Mizuki is a young woman with good intentions, who wants to make friends, and is socially awkward along the way.
Mizuki was born eighteen years previously in the city of Tokyo. Her mother is an unknown face, and not someone that she's had much interaction with nor truly wanted to know. Her father, on the other hand, was a bartender for a gay and transgender bar in Shibuya-ku. He made quite a bit of money in tips, being the coy, flirtatious man that he was. Yet, tips are not enough to make a living situation comfortable. She lived with her father in a four room flat on the outskirts of Shibuya-ku.House: Dragon House
She was a normal little girl who went to school in a normal school, living her life in a very normal way. Even as a little girl, Mizuki was driven and focused on school work. She wasn't the smartest girl in her class, yet she got the high marks through her dedication and hard work. She lived her life as a very normal Japanese girl, until she met a peculiar American boy.
William Nimbus was the son of two meteorologists who were doing research on hurricanes in Japan. She started to learn the game of Duel Monsters from him, as one of his pastimes were designing his own cards based off of the game. She soon rose to greatness, favouring Spellcasters.
She enrolled in Duel Academy and got accepted into the Ra Dorm, leading her to move to a dorm in Domino City and be separated from her Papa for the first time in her life. William came with her. It was there that she started to learn the finer points of duelling and tactics, as well as the history of the game. In one of her history classes, she met Roxanne Greenfield, and joined her for study sessions. The two of them were very quiet together; more often than not, they sat across from each other and read their respective books.
She started to become aware that magic existed behind the game after witnessing a Shadow Duel on the school grounds in her last year. The victor was the challenger, leaving the non-Shadow Duelist comatose. There was absolutely no medical reason why the victim should've been comatose, which lead to a spark in Mizuki's brain. She wanted to try to see what the effects of Shadow Magic had on the human body, and how to counteract them perhaps with modern medicine.
She enrolled in Domino College and got accepted. But right as she did, she started to see two curious little creatures in the corner of her eye... two creatures that would probably be with her for the rest of her life, now that she had finally accepted that Shadow Magic was real.
